Resources & learning

More people should
shape what comes next.

We’re building tools as part of our creative work and sharing useful parts of what we learn. Try a production skill, find a collaborator, or talk to us about a workshop for your team.

Our approach to creative tools / I

Build from the work.

We’re building and using tools for research, creative development and production. The questions come from making films: how to find something in an archive, pressure test an idea, or give an experiment enough structure to be useful.

Our approach to creative tools / II

Keep the creative decisions.

An assistant can organise material and suggest a way through it. It can also miss the point. We want people to understand what a tool is doing, question its output and decide what belongs in their work.

Give more people a way in.

The AI transition affects who gets paid, credited and heard. We’re developing workshops and partner-funded pilots with particular attention to creatives of colour and people already facing barriers. Access needs to include time to learn and support to keep making.

The judgement
is still yours.

We explain what a tool needs, where it can go wrong and how to check its suggestions. You should be able to question the method and adapt it to your work.
