Who is responsible
Just Be Nice Studios is the independent film and creative studio founded by Souvid “JIJO” Datta. This notice covers information handled through this website and enquiries made to the studio.
For a privacy question or request, email hello@justbenice.tv. Project-specific arrangements, including information handled during a production, may be explained separately.
When you get in touch
We use the details you choose to share - such as your name, email, organisation, project idea, budget, timing and links - to answer your enquiry, assess the kind of support you need and discuss possible work. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a mailing list.
When you submit the contact form, your answers are sent through Webflow to JBN. Webflow stores the submission and sends an email notification to the studio so we can respond. Draft answers remain in the open page until you submit, leave or reload; we do not save them in persistent browser storage. If you choose an email-draft option, your email app receives the brief and JBN receives that email when you send it.
Our legal basis for responding to professional enquiries and managing working relationships is legitimate interests. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract, processing may instead be necessary for those steps. We may also retain records to meet legal obligations. Please share only what is needed for the conversation.
When you browse
The hosting and content-delivery services that deliver pages, images and media receive technical information such as your IP address, browser, requested files and request times. This supports delivery, security and fault diagnosis; the legal basis is legitimate interests in operating the website.
The website has no visitor accounts, checkout or newsletter signup. We have not added audience analytics or advertising pixels. Our main fonts are served with the website. Webflow’s retained legacy styles also request Google Fonts, sending Google your IP address, the requested font URL and browser headers, which can include browser and operating-system details and the referring website address. Temporary browser storage is explained in our Cookies notice.
Films, links and service providers
Providers that support email, hosting and media delivery may process information to provide those services. Embedded Vimeo and YouTube players load only when you choose to play a film. Loading a player shares technical information with its provider, including your IP address and the page you are viewing.
Vimeo embeds use Do Not Track and YouTube embeds use privacy-enhanced mode. These settings reduce tracking; they do not make playback anonymous or guarantee that no cookies are used. See films and cookies for details and provider policies.
Instagram and LinkedIn are ordinary links, not embedded social feeds. Following those links takes you to services with their own privacy practices.
How long information is kept
Enquiry correspondence is kept while it is needed for the discussion or a continuing working relationship. Retention also depends on whether a record is needed for an agreement, accounting, a legal obligation or resolving a dispute. An initial enquiry is not a reason to keep information indefinitely.
Hosting, email and video providers determine retention for technical records they control. You can ask us about records relating to your enquiry.
Processing outside the UK
Email, hosting and video services may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where we appoint a provider to process personal information for us, applicable data-protection and transfer safeguards are required. Providers’ own notices explain the processing they control. Contact us for information about transfers relating to your enquiry.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion or restriction, and request a portable copy where that right applies. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Email hello@justbenice.tv to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint ↗. You are welcome to contact us first, but you do not have to.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when the website or the way we handle enquiries changes. The date above shows when the notice was last revised.
