Inside the Fifty Years caseMax Jamilly never had a lightning-bolt moment. Hoxton Farms began in the 2020 lockdown with supermarket sausages, fat from the butcher and a meal cooked at home that suddenly tasted right.
An internship at a biotech start-up in Cambridge, Massachusetts showed Max Jamilly that science could build whole industries. He went back for a PhD with that in mind. He had been helping develop drugs for very sick people, but, as he puts it, absolutely everybody needs to eat.
